Carrie Ann Miller, Annapolis Food Examiner from Examiner.com, found George Martin’s newest restaurant, Grillfire Arundel in The Hotel at Arundel Preserve. She calls Grillfire the “perfect solution” when looking for “good food and drinks in a comfortable yet sophisticated restaurant,” (Examiner Article).

Miller continues her review, stating “whether dining for a business lunch, a family dinner or an intimate date night, Grillfire's atmosphere and menu selections appeals to all audiences,” (Examiner Article). Grillfire is open for lunch Monday through Saturday from 11:00am-4:00pm.

As Miller noted, “for business patrons, lunch is a perfect time to enjoy Grillfire. Comfortable booths and dining areas accommodate one on one or team luncheons…The menu provides a variety of choices from  signature salads and sandwiches to signature entrees including steaks and seafood. A popular lunch choice is the half and half salad, a ‘choose your own’ soup or sandwich combination,” (Examiner Article).

Grillfire offers a wide variety of selections on each section of the menu. Many of the starters are perfectly sized so you can share them amongst co-workers or friends. “Looking through the starters, the Chili Pop Shrimp, Three Cheese Chicken Quesadilla with mango salsa and Duo of Steak Burger Sliders made choosing the Sesame Tuna Crunch difficult. The Tuna Crunch, seared sushi tuna crusted with sesame started lunch off on the right foot. Just enough to share, the fresh tuna dipped in soy and wasabi was well seared and encrusted for a nice crunch of sesame seeds,” (Examiner Article).

Once appetizers are finished, it’s time to move on to your main course. Grillfire is known for their delicious salads and sandwiches offered during lunch. Miller was pleased to find the following, “sandwiches include house smoked turkey and cheddar melt or crab cake BLT, while Grillfire's favorites include homemade chicken pot pie
and loaded mac and cheese - topped with bacon, lump crab, tortilla strips and avocado. The salad selection balances the decadent entrees offering the Grillfire Cobb, a Wonton Mango and Avocado Salad and a Signature Chopped Salad. Our lunch included sandwiches - the Black Label Wagyu Beef Burger on a roll, served with fries, lettuce and tomato- so delicious, and perfectly cooked, the Wagyu burger needed no condiments at all.”

If you’re thinking about heading to Grillfire for dinner, the menu offers even more of a variety! “Grillfire offers additional items for dinner, including molasses and soy marinated skirt steak, slow roasted maple brined pork chop, fettuccine with sea scallops and jumbo shrimp as well as crabmeat crusted filet mignon,” (Examiner Article). You will be just as impressed as Carrie Ann Miller!

Miller ends her review noting the beautiful and sophisticated ambiance offered by Grillfire, “Accented with the flames from the fireplace, Grillfire at Arundel Preserve is an upscale neighborhood restaurant sure to develop local regulars for both lunch and dinner. Guests at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve can also enjoy the Grillfire menu as room service,” (Examiner Article).
