Long Beach, NY offers 3.5 miles of powder-fine sand and a boardwalk that stretches over two miles. Learn more about this sprawling beach on the Atlantic Ocean by taking this photo tour and reading about this oceanfront wonder.

Founded in 1880s, Long Beach started out as a resort community where vacationers flocked to sit on the soft sand and take the sun. Long Beach, situated along the South Shore of Long Island, is generally 10 degrees cooler in the summer and 10 degrees warmer in the winter than its surrounding areas, making it an ideal place to live or visit throughout the year, but specially during the summer months.

Long Beach, NY will now get to play host to the world's best surfers September 4th - 15th, 2011 as Long Beach, LI, has secured a stop on this year's Association of Surfing Professionals World Tour. It is the first time that an East Coast town has ever hosted the event, and will be the sixth stop on a competition tantalizing riders with an unheard of $1 million dollar prize.

The George Martin Group restaurant location, Grillfire Long Beach, will be celebrating this event by offering special deals & promotions during the time of the competition. Grillfire Long Beach will be announcing all of these specials in Mid August. Be on the look out for some of the best deals Long Island has ever seen!
